AMD dual core 3ghz and 4gb of ram V AMD triple core and 2gb of ram. Which way would you go?

Both processors are equivalent in size. A guy can build me a system based around these basics for the same spend. I mostly use photoshop and have found ram to really help. Would I get allot from that triple v dual? As I understand both are on a very generic am3 motherboard

I believe that the third core will help you greatly. Go for the triple core.
